Story Alan Parsons Project

Ingénieur du son à Abbey Road sur les albums des Beatles et Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons rencontre Eric Woolfson à l'été 1974. Leur collaboration et celle du guitariste Ian Bairnson donne naissance à The Alan Parsons Project.  Le 1er opus parait en juin 1976. Les albums, Pyramid (1978), The Turn of a Friendly Card (1980), Eye in the Sky (1982) sont de superbes réussites pop progressives, accompagnées d’un orchestre symphonique sous la direction d’Andrew Powell. Les parties vocales sont partagées par des invités. Chris Rainbow, Lenny Zakatek, John Miles, David Paton et Colin Blunstone sont des habitués. 10 albums studio paraissent de 1976 à 1987.  Après une dernière collaboration avec Eric Woolfson pour l’album concept Freudiana en 1990,  Alan Parsons publie sous son nom.
